9----.
How to remember 9
- It sounds like dah-dah-dah-dah-dit. Say it out loud as you listen, and learn the rhythm rather than counting dots and dashes.
- 9 has 5 signals: 1 dot and 4 dashes. It takes 17 units of time to send, where a dot is one unit.
- All numbers in Morse code have five signals. 6 to 9 and 0 begin with dashes and end with dots: 9 is 4 dashes followed by 1 dot.
- Once you know the pattern, you can work out every number without memorising a table.
